TitlePetition of Several Owners and Occupiers of a Great Quantity of Land in the Middle Level
DescriptionThe petitioners report that that their land has been flooded for several years, as a result of water coming through several cuts and tunnels in the Forty Foot Bank and Sixteen Foot Bank near Stonea. They ask the Bedford Level Corporation to prevent the cutting of banks. They also ask for [the owners and occupiers] of land on the other side of the Sixteen Foot Bank to ordered to drain their waters into Popham's Eau. Seventy six signatories.
