DescriptionPetition for the Thirty Foot Drain be scoured out and embanked, rather than the Forty Foot Drain. They argue that this is the only drain for their lands in the upper part of the level. They also ask for a tunnel to be laid under the Thirty Foot Drain into the Sixteen Foot Drain; for the downfall waters to be allowed a free course to Popham's Eau; for the Sixteen Foot Drain be scoured out and enlarged; and for another tunnel to be laid into the Twenty Foot Drain. Two hundred and twenty nine signatories.
