TitlePetition of Several Owners of Meadowland in Fordham and Denver, on the East Side of the River Ouse and on Both Sides of the Twenty Four Foot Drain.
DescriptionThe petitioners represent that their land is often flooded by waters from Hilgay, Methwold, Hockwold, Feltwell and Southery, which run through the tunnel under the Hilgay River into the Twenty Four Foot Drain. They ask for the tunnel not to be run, unless the Twenty Four Foot Drain can contain the additional waters. If this is not possible, they ask for it to be taken up. Seven signatories.
