TitlePetition of the Owners and Occupiers of Land in Upwell and Outwell
DescriptionPetition against a proposal [from the owners of land in the highest part of the Middle Level] to take up the sluice in the Twenty Foot Drain near Welches Dam, which prevents the waters of Cranbrook, Hammond's Eau and the Forty Foot Drain from drowning their lands. They ask for the floodwater to be run off into the Bedford River at Welches Dam instead. Sixty six signatories.
