TitlePetition of Several of the Owners and Occupiers of Fen Lands in Middle Fen District
DescriptionThe petitioners represent that several owners of lands lying next to their district have erected 16 large mills, which drain their lands by throwing the waters onto their neighbours' lands. They believe that this behaviour is not lawful, and that it will lead to the total ruin of all the lands in their district not drained by these mills. They ask for the Bedford Level Corporation to direct their solicitor to prosecute all such persons. Eight signatories.
