DescriptionPetition for the River [Nene] to be scoured out between Salter's Lode and Stanground Sluice, as it is so overgrown and silted up that navigation has become totally impossible. They also ask for a pen sluice to be erected at Aslin's Gravel; for a further pen sluice to be erected below Well; for the ebb doors at Salter's Lode Sluice to be properly repaired, and for the sluice-keeper of Stanground Sluice to be obliged to supply the River Nene with water at all times without charge or expense to the watermen.
