TitlePetition of the Owners and Occupiers of Land in Hurst's Grounds, Northey North Fen, Prior's Fen, Cow Croft and Bassinghall Moor, lying between Thorney Fen Dike and the Counter Drain of the North Bank of Morton's Leam
DescriptionThe petitioners report that Ralph Pierson and John Wakelin, tenant of Henry Coventry, have built two dams across the Counter Drain near Northlake, and that the Duke of Bedford has laid two tunnels through the road near Stone Bridge. They ask for them to be removed, to improve the drainage of their district. Fifty four signatories.
