TitlePetition of the Inhabitants of Swavesey
DescriptionThe petitioners represent that the Bedford Level Corporation has neglected to maintain the defensive bank on the west side of the drain, and the sluice which drains their lands. They ask for them both to be repaired, and for a tunnel to be laid through the bank to drain their backwaters until the sluice is repaired. They also ask for the proceedings against some of the inhabitants in the Court of the King's Bench to be stayed in the meantime. [Check signatories].
