DescriptionThe petitioners report that the mouths of Well Creek and the Old Bedford River are constantly silting up. They ask for the sluice between the Twenty Foot Drain and Well Creek to be moved closer to [Salter's Lode Sluice], and for one of the sluices between the Twenty Foot Drain and the Old Bedford River to be moved closer to the Old Bedford Sluice, to improve the natural scouring out of the two rivers. Forty eight signatories.
