DescriptionSixty four volumes, recording the [absolute] conveyance, lease and mortgage of Adventurers' lands in the Bedford Level between 1815 and 1920. They primarily contain copies of indentures of bargain and sale, conveyances, leases and mortgages by demise, but the earlier volumes also contain copies of legal fictions like lease and releases, final concords and common recoveries. These volumes also occasionally include sketch plans, and schedules detailing the prior conveyancing history of a parcel of Adventurers' land.

These conveyances are not entered in chronological order, but rather by the date that they were registered with the Bedford Level Corporation. Each volume contains an alphabetical index of conveyances registered within, but there is also separate index to this series (R59/31/3/A*).
