DescriptionForty eight volumes, containing schedules of the taxes owed on the 95,000 acres of Adventurers' lands in the Bedford Level. Each volume contains an alphabetical list of the owners of Adventurers' lands, and also details the parcel(s) of lands owned, the quantity and quality of these lands, and the instalments of taxes due in June and November that year. They originally cover all 95,000 acres of Adventurers' lands, but after 1842 (see R59/31/18/30 onwards), there are separate Tax Rolls for the North Level and the Middle and South Levels.
