Contains a legal brief for several owners [and occupiers] of Adventurers' lands in the South Level against the Separation Bill; a legal brief for the Bedford Level Corporation against the Separation Bill, and a notebook detailing the divisions of lands between the Middle and South Levels. Also contains a judgement made at the Court of the Queen's Bench in December 1848, as to whether the Inhabitants of the Ely are responsible for repairing the bridge over the Old Bedford River; and "Fourth and Final Report [...] of the Royal Commission Appointed to Enquire into and to Report on The Canals and Inland Navigations of the United Kingdom".
