Title"A Plot of the Wash, Banks and Cutland, from Peterburgh-Bridge to Northy Gravel"
DescriptionPlan of the Earl of Westmorland's estates in the Peterborough Wash, showing the lands cut by the Society of Adventurers. Scale 1" to 30 perches. Hand-drawn on parchment. It relates to the Earl of Westmorland's claim that the Society of Adventurers had cut and spoiled more than 60 acres of his lands, and that he had still now received any compensation (see also R59/31/box53/bundle2). A note on the outside (almost illegible) records that this plan was taken by Mr Wing to a trial at the Court of Common Pleas, probably in relation to the case of John Bass v Dr George Rogers.
