DescriptionThis series comprises three original deed indexes and deeds deposited with Cambridgeshire Archives following the registration of City Council property with HM Land Registry. The first deposit received in 2000 consisted largely of property in the Kite District of Cambridge purchased by compulsory order for redevelopment. The second set of deeds deposited with Cambridgeshire Archives in 2010 was transferred from the Cambridgeshire Collection where it was deposited between 1965-1972 by the City Council. The deeds have been arranged alphabetically by street name. Where deeds relate to the purchase or transfer of multiple properties by the same owner the deeds have been maintained in their original order, resulting in some packets relating to multiple addresses. To keep the distinction between the two deposits there are occasions where there are two deed packets for the same address, containing an earlier and later set of deeds sent to HM Land Registry.
