DescriptionThis file contain agreements for the temporary occupation of property and common land in Cambridge by the Military authorities. It comprises agreements and correspondence concerning the terms and financial claims for the occupation of the cattle market, stables in Corporation Yard, Bishop's Mill and King's Mill, a store yard in Mill Road, Coe Fen, Coldhams Common and an empty common, 61 Park Street, and Bitts Green. A second correspondence file dated Feb-Jun 1915 relates to Local Government provisions for payment of rates on property taken over by Military personnel.
