TitleThe Great War roll of honour card index
DescriptionAn alphabetical series of cards returned to the town clerk by soldiers or next of kin. Each card contains details of an individual who had served HM forces in the Great War and contains name; home address; which service they fought in; particulars of their battalion, unit or ship; rank; approximate age; marital status; whether they enlisted before or after the outbreak of war; and the signature and address of the person giving the particulars. A transcript of this index has been compiled and is available in the search room at Cambridgeshire Archives.
