| Description | The Law and Property Committee met weekly and discussed and resolved issues relating to the Corporation's property holdings. Issues discussed were similar to those of the housing and building committee and included the repair and maintenance of the Guildhall and offices, the sale of old furniture, equipment and property, the hire of premises, reports on the condition of properties and reports given by the surveyor, discussions regarding legislation, in particular when related to licences to sell; the mooring of boats within the town, the right to hold fairs on Corporation land, and insurance for Corporation property. |
