DescriptionThis series relates to the Corporation's application for a local government provisional order to allow the purchase of land at Fen Ditton for a new cemetery (Newmarket Road Cemetery.) The series consists of correspondence between the Corporation, the Local Government Board and solicitors for Mr Fison current owner of the land; declarations of the intention to apply for a provisional order and notices to owners and lessees; a sales catalogue and plans of the new cemetery; conveyances and contracts for the purchase of land; and accounts for fees and expenses incurred by solicitors and agents.
