DescriptionThis file consists of correspondence relating to the settlement of the Lands Tribunal including the Corporation's liability to pay 1/4 of college appeal costs and 1/4 of the Valuation Officer's court costs. The file consists of reports on college appeals against the 1963 valuation list; notices of decisions of the Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, Isle of Ely, and soke of Peterborough valuation panel; notices of appeals against the decision of the local valuation court; copies of memos from the City Treasurer to the Town Clerk; memos from the town clerk relating to the legal case for the Corporation; reports by TA Bird; a copy of the decision of the Lands Tribunal in the matter of the appeals from Oxfordshire and Berkshire, 1967; a copy of the decision of the Lands Tribunal in the matter of the appeals from the Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, Isle of Ely and Soke of Peterborough Local Valuation Court; summary of proposals determined by the Valuation Court with amendments; correspondence between Bewlay, Moore and Co, Rating Surveyors, and the City Treasurer; and papers relating to the settlement tribunal costs.
