TitleInformation in Chancery brought by the Attorney General against 5 of the Commissioners, for the costs incurred relating to the promotion of the Cambridge Improvement Bill
DescriptionThis case was brought by the Attorney General, on behalf of Neville Goodman Samuel, Ballard William Bond, William Potts, William Eaden Lilley, the younger, William Nixon and Richard Wright against Charles Balls, Samuel Peed, Rowland Morris Fawcett, Richard Rowe and Richard Reynolds Rowe. The information requests an injunction to prevent the Commissioners from paying initial costs incurred in the preparation of the bill out of the improvement rates. Information is provided to show that opposition was voiced to point out that as the standing orders would not be able to be complied with the work could not be financed.
