Evidence given by Mr Joseph Parkes, Chairman of the Great Eastern Railway Company; Mr John William Cooper, Cambridge barrister, member of the Corporation and Improvement Commissioner; Mr Mark Whibley, partner in the firm of Whibley and Co wholesale grocers; Mr Josiah Chater, woolleen draper and wholesale clothier; Mr William John Markam, leather merchant and currier; Mr Thomas Wright, farmer; Mr James Fetch, farmer; Mr Henry Banyard, Chairman of the Board of Guardians of the Chesterton Union; Mr Alfred Langley, resident engineer of the Great Eastern Railway; Mr James Robinson, superintendant of the Great Eastern Railway; Mr Samuel Peed, Chairman of the Cambridge Improvement Commissioners; Mr John Death, Mayor of Cambridge; Mr William Henry Apthorpe; Improvement Commissioner for St Andrew the Less.
