TitleMr Shearcroft
DescriptionMr Shearcroft was the gas identification officer for the county. He was a teacher at The King's School, Peterborough and taught chemistry. He was a most active member of the ARP organisation, instructing classes in gas identification, and other aspects, and dealing with respirators, anti-gas precautions, and casualties. He worked in the north of the county, mainly at Fletton and Norman Cross. Notes on report centre organisation, Fletton and Norman Cross divisions. Notes on unexploded bombs. He appears to have been a prolific letter writer, and a man of much energy and organising ability.
