TitleTransportation Committee 1981-1989
DescriptionThis replaced the Highways and Transportation Committee 1973-1981 (see CC7/M10/1). At its establishment in 1981 it included the Road Safety sub-committee (see CC7/M10/2) and the Passenger Transport sub-committee (see CC7/M10/5), as well as two joint sub-committees with City Council representation, specifically the Cambridge Traffic Management Joint Sub-Committee (see CC7/M10/6) and the Peterborough Traffic Management Joint Sub-Committee (see CC7/M10/20). A Huntingdon Transportation Joint Sub-Committee (see CC7/M10/19) and a Fenland Transportation Joint Sub-Committee (see CC7/M10/7) were later added, with representation from the relevant District Councils.

In 1985 the Committee restructured its sub-committee arrangements. The Road Safety sub-committee (see CC7/M10/2) appears to have been dissolved. The Traffic Appeals sub-committee (see CC7/M10/18) was set up to consider objections against proposed traffic orders. In 1986 the Peterborough, Huntingdon and Fenland joint sub-committees were reformed as Joint Panels, to reflect their advisory nature.

The Committee was replaced in 1989 by the Transport Services Committee (see CC7/M10/4) which set up a different sub-committee structure.
