TitleMembers Year Books and Diaries
DescriptionThe County Council used to publish year books and diaries. The year books were bound volumes and primarily focussed on the needs of Members, but appear to have been widely used by senior County Council officers too. Details varied from year to year but each year book usually contained a list of elected Members, a list of committees and sub-committees with their memberships, a diary of scheduled council and committee meeting dates, details of departments and senior officers, and a copy of the County Council's Standing Orders.

From 1983 the volumes stopped being called year books and were instead called Member's Diaries, but the information inside them was largely the same as before. For the first two years they were bound volumes, but from 1985 they became unbound paper inserts designed to be stored inside a Filofax-style binder. This allowed for corrections and for more frequent updates. The diaries ceased publication in 1994, by which time they were called Officer Support Packs.
