TitleSmallholdings (later County Farms) Committee 1973-1981
DescriptionThis committee exercised all the powers and duties of the County Council under any enactment relating to (1) smallholdings, (2) diseases of animals, destructive insects or pests, (3) land drainage, (4) plant health, and (5) any other matter relating to agriculture except agricultural education. The Committee changed its name to the County Farms Committee in May 1979. In 1981 it was dissolved and its responsibilities were largely inherited by the County Farms Panel, which was very soon renamed the County Farms sub-committee (see CC7/M3/2).
