| Description | This was a sub-committee of the Policy Committee (see CC7/M2/1). It exercised the powers of the County Council in relation to (1) the management and control of council-owned property except where specifically vested in a programme committee, (2) the acquisition of property by the council for office use, (3) all property transactions not specifically referred to a programme committee, (4) the discharge of any restrictive covenants on County Council property, (5) the provision of office accommodation, equipment, car parking and catering, (6) staff housing, and (7) contracts for all building works. The first major issue that the sub-committee faced was to recommend a location for the headquarters of the new County Council.
In 1981 the sub-committee was removed from Policy Committee and was made a Committee in its own right (see CC7/M4/2).
