TitlePrimary and Special Purposes Sub-committee 1973-1981
DescriptionThe sub-committee reported to the Education Committee (see CC7/M5/1). It dealt with (1) all matters relating to nursery, primary and special education, and (2) special purposes for all age groups (including school transport, meals, welfare, personal assistance, and curriculum development), in so far as those matters were not already dealt with by the Finance and Buildings sub-committee. In May 1981 the sub-committee was dissolved; a new Primary and Special Education Sub-committee took over all matters relating to nursery, primary and special education (see CC7/M5/5) while all other matters were dealt with by a new General Purposes sub-committee (see CC7/M2/6).
