DescriptionThis series comprises most committees with a predominantly leisure, amenities or heritage theme for the years 1973-2001 and from 2014 onwards. It should be noted however that many of these individual services (including archives and libraries) were particularly vulnerable to being moved from committee to committee, and so you may need to consult other parts of the catalogue too.

For the years 1997-2001 heritage matters were combined with education matters; for the records of the Education Libraries and Heritage committee see CC7/M5/14.

During the period 2001-2014 the County Council used Scrutiny Committees, which had different powers from their predecessor and successor committees; the records of leisure-related Scrutiny committees, if we have any, will be found alongside other Scrutiny committees in CC7/M13.
