Description(1) John Cotton, sixth son of Thomas Cotton, Conington, Esq., decd. (2) Sir Robert Cotton, Conington, Kt., eldest bro. of (1). (1) To (2). All actions or sums due to (1) under will of father, Thomas C., decd., except annuity of £20 granted by deed of 7 April, 1588 out of the manor of Conington with apps. in the parish of Woodwalton. Payable to (1) and his wife after his death. Ratified to (1) by (2) by Indenture of 6 July, 1592. Acknowledged in presence of Matthew Carew, Kt., in Chancery 7 Feb. 1608.
