TitleAssignment of Trust
Description(1) Sir Robert Cotton, Conyngton, Kt., and Bart. (2) Thomas Cotton, Steeple Gidding, gent, bro. of (1). Recites: (1) Indenture of 12 March, 1613 by which Peter Bradley, Steeple Gidding, yeoman, and Winifride, his wife,,& William his eldest bro. bargained and sold to (1) and Henrie Cotton, bro. of (1), for £340, messuage in Steeple G., with close called Dovehouse Close and lands sometime the inheritance of Richard Button, decd., with the Little Spinney in Steeple Gidding, all bought from the 2 daus. and coheiresses of Button. Arable lands and all premises scheduled in indenture of 18 Jan. 1598, to use of (1) and Henry C. for ever. (2) £340 to be paid for premises was (2)'S money, and the names of (1) and Henry C. were used in trust, for the use of (2). (3) Henry C. decd., (1) surviving, therefore whole interest now rests in (1). (2) Now for special reasons wishing to have the estate in himself, (1) now assigns to (2) all the premises conveyed to (1) in the said indenture by the Bradley's, to use and his heirs for ever. (1) appoints Jerome Apreece of Washingley, gent, his attorney for the transaction. Endorsed: Seisin delivered to (2) by Jerome Apreece on 26 Sep. 1620.
