Description(1) Thomas Cotton, Gidding Abbotts, Esq. (2) Sir Thomas Cotton, Connington, Bart. (1) to (2) Mansion house in Gidding Abbotts with apps. Dovecoate Close, Burnt Yards, Grants Close, Little Hill Close, with 6a. arable land in every field of Gidding A. For 500 years from death of (1) on trust that (2) allows Mary, wife of (1) to keep the rents, issues and profits from decease of (1) till her death, then to uses declared. (1) to (2) Hanghill Meadow, Brooke Close (64a.); Ley Close, Round Meadow, Berry Ponds Leyes (30a); Cow Close with apps. (20a). For 500 years from death of (1) and Mary his wife and the survivor of them. All on trust that the rents issues and profits be used after the death of Mary to raise £1,000 for the marriage portion of Jane C. grandchild of (1) and dau. of John Cotton, gent., son of (1). If she dies profits towards £1,000 to use if John C. father of Jane, or to his heirs male. If none, to Sir Thomas C. (2). After £1,000 profits to use of John C. for life, then to his heirs male. If none, to Sir Thomas C. (2) and his heirs male.
