Description(1) Thomas Cotton, Gidding Abbotts, Esq. (2) Sir Capel Bedell, Hamerton, Bart. Robt. Bernard, Huntingdon, Esq. (3) Sir Thomas Cotton, Connington, Bart. Recites: (i) being seised of the reversion in fee on the death of John C., gent, his eldest son and heir app., in case John C.'s male issue fail, of 6 farms (490a), in Gidding A; pasture called Michhills and Advowson of Gidding A. Church. (ii) (1) being similarly seised after decease of John C.'& Frances his wife and their heirs male, of Throloe pasture; Alpitt pasture and meadow (180a); Great pasture and meadow (134a) all in Gidding A. Now (1) to keep his lands in the Cotton family, agrees with (2) that he will from now on be seised of all the aforesaid premises and all his other lands in Gidding A. or elsewhere in Hunts., to the use of John C. and his heirs male. If none, then to the right heirs of (3). (3) Agrees with (2) to pay the daus. of John C. £4,000 in equal shares on marriage of (3) or his heirs by this conveyance become seised in possession of the aforesaid premises and John Cotton is before that time dead without male issue. If John C. has only one dau. £3,000 for her, if (3) become siesed.
