DescriptionThomas Cotton having died seised of the Manor of Steeple Gidding and advowson there, Sir Thomas C., Bart. of Conington, his nephew has entered into possession under settlements of March 1640, and 14 May 1640; John C., son of Thomas, is to make due provision for Mary, widow of Thomas, Frances wife of John, and Jane dau. of John. (as stated in settlements).
