Description(1) Sir Thomas Cotton; John Cotton, his son and heir. (2) Bazil Fitzherbert, son and heir of Wm., Norbury, Derbys., Esq. Jane Fitzherbert, wife of Bazill, only dau. and heir of John C., late of Steeple G., Esq., decd. (3) Francis Bagshaw, Mid-Temple, Esq. and James Blankes, Bledlow, Bucks, gent. (4) William Witherington, Westminster, gent, John Davenport, Huntingdon, gent. Agreed that: (1) shall levy fine in favour of (4) of Part of Manor of Gidding Abbotts, to the uses: Sir Thomas Cotton for life, then to John, son, for life, then to heirs male. Remaining portion of Manor to (3) for 99 years as security for sum of £2,000 to be paid after death of Frances Cotton, widow of John, decd.
