| Description | (1) Mary Honywood Cotton, spinster, one of the daus. of Sir John Cotton, late of Stretton, Beds., Bart., decd. (2) Roger Kenyon, St. Giles in the Fields, Middx., Esq. (3) Thomas LeStrange, Middle Temple, London, Esq. Thomas Bowdler, St. Andrew, Holborne, Middx. Esq. (4) David Lloyd, St. James, Westminster, Esq. The Rev. Theophilus Downes, St. Giles, clerk. Recites forthcoming marriage of (1) and (2). Now to settle the Manor and premises hereinafter mentioned on the issue of the said marriage and for 5/- from (3) to (1). (1) By direction of (2), to (3). Manor of Upton and all lands of (1) there or elsewhere in Hunts, with all apps. to use of (3) in trust. To use of (1) and heirs until marriage; Then to use of (1) and (2) for lives; then to use of (4) and heirs for lives of (1) and (2) and the survivor in trust. After their deaths to their heirs in tail male. If none, to their daus. If none, to lawful heirs of (1). If none to Robert Cotton, of Gidden, Hunts, bro. of (1), for life. Then to use of (4) and heirs during life of said Robert C. in trust. Then to use of John Cotton, son and heir of said Robt. Cotton for life, Then to use of (4) and heirs during life of said John C. in trust. Then to John Cotton's heirs in tail male. If none, to heirs of Robt. Cotton in tail male. If none to right heirs of (1). Lawful for (1) and (2) to make leases for terms not exceeding 21 years. Lawful for (1) to charge Manor for such uses as she shall direct. Lawful for (1) to convey fee simple of said Manor subject to any leases thereon. Lawful for (1) to revoke any of the trusts hereinbefore mentioned and to make new ones |
