Description(1) John Cotton, Conington, Esq., John Cotton, the younger, his son and heir app. (2) Charles Jenners, the younger, Esq., on and heir app. of Chas. Jenners, Gopshall, Leics. (3) Robert Pulleyn, St. Neots, Esq. (2) Pays 5/- to (1). (1) releases to (2). Hundred of Norman Cross; Manors of Conington, Glatton-cum-Holme; Stilton, Sawtry, and Walton, with apps. Advowson of Conington Church; 12 Boat Gates in Whittlesea Mere, the Meer, any lands in Hunts late in the estate of Sir John Cotton, late of Conington, Bart, decd., wherein I have any estate of freehold or inheritance. Manor of Stratton, Beds., with apps. with Manor House of Stratton with a apps. except those settled by Sir John Cotton by Bargain and Sale of 5 July 1706. So that (2) may suffer two or more Recoveries, with (3) as plaintiff for use of John Cotton, the elder, for life then for use of (2) and (3) for 1,000 years, then John Cotton the younger and heirs male. If none, John Cotton, the elder, and heirs male. If none, right heirs of John Cotton the elder. Provided that (a) (2) and (3) raise from the estate £3,000 apiece for the 4 daus. of Sir John C. the elder, by Jane his wife, i.e. Jane, Elizabeth Stuart, Frances and Mary. (b) John Cotton, the elder during his life may grant leases of any part of the said lands for 21 years or less. (c) John Cotton the elder, and John C., the younger, may revoke the uses and estates hereby limited.
