Description(1) John Cotton, Steeple Gidding, Esq. (2) Robert Hewett, Ampthill, Grange, Beds., Esq. Recites: (i) (1) demised to Sir Thomas Cotton, Conington Bart., Manor of Steeple Gidding with apps. and lands of (1) in Steeple G. or elsewhere in Hunts for divers years if (1) shall so long live. (ii) Deed made between (1) and Sir Thomas Cotton in which (1) expressed divers sums to be paid by Sir Thomas C., out of the profits of the lands, including £300 to (2). (iii) Agreement of (1) and (2) that £250, the residue of this sum shall be paid by Sir Thomas C., and taken by (2) on 24 June, 1644. Now (1) and (2) agree that Sir Thomas C. shall pay (2) £250 on 24 June, 1644 in Middle Temple Hall. London. (2) quitclaims (1) of the £300 and all other debts, except the £250 to be paid as aforesaid.
