TitleMarriage Agreement
Description(1) James, Earl of Morton. (2) Bridget Heathcote, spinster, eldest dau. of Sir John, of Normanton, Rutland (with father's consent). Marriage of (1) and (2) and £12,000 paid by (2) to (1). (1) agrees to pay to (2) or her trustee annuity of £300 during her married life, out of lands on Edinburgh, Morton, Renfrew and Fife. Also after his death to provide that she receives annuity of £1,000 and to pay £26,000 to trustees for the children of the marriage.
