Description	(1) Robert Boothby, Chingford, Essex, Esq. (2) Frances Moyer, Low Layton, Essex, widow, mother of (1). To borrow money not exceeding £10,000 and for securing the repayment thereof with interest. To demise property in Chingford and any part of my lands in Leics., and Lincs., and the inheritance thereof which I am entitled to expectant on decease of mother to whoever shall advance the £10,000. To sign and seal deeds for securing the repayment, and to receive money in my name and give receipts. Attached: Covenant (copy) 30 Dec. 1762 (1) Frances Moyer. (2) William Edwards, Grays Inn Lane, Middx., victualler. Recites: (1) borrowing £1,500 for use of Robt. Boothby having applied to (2) to lend it on mortgage of said premises in Chingford and (1) has promised (2) that she has not borrowed from anyone else by virtue of the said power of attorney except from Edmund Lacon of Grays Inn, gent, upon a security of the said premises at Chingford of even date herewith and (2) has agreed to lend said money upon a demise of said premises of tomorrow between Robt. Boothby and (2). Now (1) to (2) for 5/- covenants validity of letter of attorney and that (1) has not borrowed any money on said premises except as aforesaid. Note: Original letter of attorney was annexed to mortgage of 31 Dec. 1762.
