Description(1) John Bradley, Steeple Giddinge, gent. (2) Edwarde Pickeringe, Olconbery, gent and Thomas Bradley, Olconbery, gent. Recites: (i) Purchase by (1) from John Bedell, Hamerton, Esq., now Sir John Bedell, Kt., of one messuage in Steeple G. with Dovehouse Close and all things belonging which sometime were the inheritance of Richard Button, gent, decd, and Little Spinney with apps. in Steeple G., also late Button's and arable lands, meadows etc. specified in the third column of the Schedule to the Indenture of same to be conveyed to (1) with apps. to the premises as by a pair of Indentures of 18th Jan. 1598 more plainly appears. (ii) Desire of (1) to settle his estate in the aforesaid lands on his hopefullest child i.e. his second son, Peter Bradley and (1) hath concluded a marriage between said Peter Bradley and Winefrid Pickeringe, dau. of said Edward P.,. For love of (1) for Peter B. and for sum of money paid by Edwarde Pickeringe on the marriage. (1) to (2) All former recited messuage in Steeple G., with lands and apps. To use of (1) for life, then to use of Peter B. and Wynefridd P. for their lives and for the full joynture of the said Wynefridd, then to the use of the right heirs of the said Peter B. for ever. (1) covenants with Edward P. that estate is clear, and to provide Peter and Winefrid with meat, drink, apparel and housing, and , if they choose not to live with (1), such maintenance allowance as shall be thought fit by Sir John Bedell, Kt., Sir Thomas Bedell, Kt., his son, John Thoroughgood, Great Gidding, gent, and the longer liver of them.
