TitleMarriage Settlement
Description(1) Robert Halstead. (2) Frances Worthington, spinster, (1)'s granddaughter. (3) Thomas Boothby, Esq. son and heir app. of Robt. Boothby, Chingford, Essex, Esq. (4) Benjamin Moyer, Low Layton, Essex, Esq. John Rawlinson, Hackney, Middx., apothecary. In view of forthcoming marriage of (2) and (3), (1) conveyed various lands etc. to (4) on trust for (1) for life, then to sell fee simple and with consent of (2) and (3) to buy other lands to use of (3) for life, then (2), then as (2) and (3) shall direct, or to use of their children or child or if none, to their heirs. Meanwhile (4) may invest the money with consent of (2) and (3) and pay profits as land. Notes added that (3) died in 1735 leaving two children, Robert Boothby Esq., and Frances, now the wife of John Charnock, Esq., (2) later married (4). (4) died in 1759. They had two daus., Lydia and Catherine in whom these trusts now rest. None of the premises conveyed by (1) has yet been sold. N.B. Lydia, the eldest dau. is now the wife of John Heathcote, Esq.
