Description(1) Samuel Mowyer, London, Esq. (2) Charles Thorold, London, merchant. (1) for the settling of the Manor and lands mentioned to the uses here under, expressed and for affection to Lawrence, second son of (1) and for the better maintenance of the said Lawrence, covenants with (2) that (1) shall for ever hereafter be seised of all the Manor of Hawkesburie, with apps. the Manor House of Hawkesburie and site of the Manor House with all apps. and all other messuages and lands of (1) which he has lately purchased of Charles Pitfield, Esq. and Richard Pitfield, gent in Fobbing and elsewhere in Essex, to use of (1) for life then to use of said Lawrence Moyer and his lawful heirs. If none to (1) and heirs for ever. (1) covenants with (2) that (1) will, within next 2 months, procure Charles Pitfield, London, Esq. to surrender into the hands of the Lord of the Manor all those copyhold lands called Fullers, Cranes and Landens in Fobbing and all other his copyhold lands belonging to said Manor to uses abovesaid.
