Description1. Thomas Hart, Wakefield, Berks, Esq., and Jane, his wife; Thomas Bowdler, Astley, Wilts; Esq. and Eliz. Stuart, his wife; Frances Cotton and Mary Cotton, both of Stretton, Beds, spinsters 2. Sir John Heathcote, Bart. with particular of Conington estate. 2. agrees to buy the Manor. lands and premises comprised in the above rental at £52,000. 1. agree to convey property to 2. at the said price and that 2. shall receive the rents, issues, and profits from Old Michaelmas day last. 2. agrees to pay £52,000 to 1. on having a good title made to him. In consideration for receiving the rents from old Michaelmas day last, 2. agrees to pay interest for the said purchase money until it is paid, at 3% p.a. from old Michaelmas day last. 2. agrees to re-grant to 1. the next turn of presentation to the Rectory and Church of Conington so long as 1. present a Clerk of 60 years or thereabouts within 4 months after it becomes vacant. Particular of estate: Not all the lands have been measured, but these that are being full measure, it is assumed that the rest are the same. The fenlands being strong silt, are let at 6/-, 8/-, 9/-, and 10/- per acre. 4 engines to drain the lowland; lowland to be plowed sometime; high land generally not plowed; N.B. 200 acres of Adventurers' land included; The pays the Rector £60 p.a. in lieu of all tythes. Adventurers Land in name of Higby pays a tax to the Corporation at £5. p.a. Land Tax for whole estate is £204.15s. Description of Rector's living. Description of timber.
