Recites: (i) Indenture of Release of 19 June, 1697 between John Venables, late of Agden, Cheshire, Esq., and John Mason which recites that John V. by Articles of Agreement of 15 Feb. 1689 made between Venables and Mason, for 23/6 paid to Vanables by Mason and for a further £110 so paid, Venables bargained and sold to Mason Adventure Land (45a.) in Bury Mow Fen in the parish of Bury cum Hepmangrove, and in Bedford Levell; Adventurers' Land (81a.) in Conington Severalls in the Great Levell; all part of the 95,000a. set forth for dreyning the Great Levell. (ii) Bargain and Sale of 18 Feb. 1689 by which Venables bargained and sold above land to Mason, and for collateral security to maintain Mason's title Venables released to Mason Percivall's Ground, with 3 closes (10a.) with apps. in Agden, Cheshire. (iii) Bargain and Sale made by (1) and Mary his wife, and bargain and sale made by (1) and George Venables (son and heir of John), which conveyed said lands to (2). (iv) (1) and (2) by indenture of Aug. inst. between (1), (2) and John Cotton have conveyed 81a. in Conington to John Cotton. (v) (1) and (2) by indenture of even date with these presents, between (1), (2) and William Nicholls have conveyed 45a. in Bury Mow Fen to Wm. Nicholls. Now (1), so that lands in release from Venables to (1) may be a collateral security to retain Titles of (3), hath by consent and direction of (2), and at nomination and request of (3), released to (4), in possession by bargain and sale of yesterday, all premises in Agden and adjoining parish, Co. Chester, to hold in trust for (3). (2) covenant with (4) that premises shall remain to (4) in trust to the aforesaid uses. |
