TitleAssignment of Bond
Description(1) The Hon. Charles Bertie, St. Gyles in the Fields, Middx, Esq. (2) Robert Brent, Larkstoke, Glos., Esq. Recites: (i) James Stephens of Hower-Wall, Glos., Esq. by his recognizance of 3rd. June, 1685 became bound to Phillip Percivall, late of the parish of St. Giles aforesaid, gent, decd, in the sum of £2,400. (ii) Indenture of 21 April, last between Jane Percivall, widow and relict of the said Phillip Percivall and Samuel Percivall of Roydon Hall, Essex, Esq., heir and exor. of the said Phillip P., the said James Stephens and (1), in which the Percivalls by direction of Stephens assigned to (1) the said recognizance and the debt therein contained, and all the estate and interest that might be had by reason of the said recognizance. Now for £1,200 from (2) to (1)., (1) to (2): The said recognizance and the debt and duty therein contained so assigned to him and all the other benefits thereof, together with the Indenture of Assignment. Endorsed: Acknowledgement from (1) to (2) of £1,200 received from (2) by (1).
