Description1. John Bedell, Hamerton, Esq. 2. John Bradley, Hamerton, yeoman. 1. to 2. for £400. Messuage in Steple Giddinge which Thomas Toseland, gent, late did inhabit, with Dovehouse Close with apps. sometyme the inheritance of Richard Button, gent, decd., which 1. purchased of Wm. Mulsho, gent, and Anne, his wife,and of John Gale, gent,& And Little Spynney with apps. in S. Giddinge which 1. purchased of Nich. Totnell, yeoman, and Eliz., his wife. And all arable lands, meadows, hadons etc. in S. Giddinge, specified in the 3rd. col. of the annexed schedule to be conveyed to 1. with apps. 1. agrees with 2. to execute all reasonable acts for the better assuring of the said premises to 2. within the next 5 years. 1. promises to 2. that if the said arable lands and pastures should be lawfully recovered by Nich. Totnell and Eliz., his wife, by reason of one former right and title, 1. will, within 2 months after notice of such recovery, pay to 2. £12 for every acre of inclosed ground so recovered and £3 for every acre of arable land or ley. Annexed: Schedule or terrier of the arable lands, leyes and haddons in S. Giddinge referred to in the above indenture to be conveyed to 2.. Contains field-names, acreages and names of places where the said premises lie, names of adjoining fields and owners.
