John Cotton, London, Esq. £1000 to Henry Bedell, 10/- to John Bedell. 2 messuages, farm, cottage, with apps. and lands = 180 acres, which were those of Humphrey Drewell of Little Gidding, Esq. and Humphrey Drewell, his son, and Eliz. the son's wife, and which heretofore were in the possession of Sir John Bedell, Kt., decd. and now are in the possession of Henry Bedell Messuage and lands in Steeple Gidding 60 acres, formerly that of Swythyn Dixon, then of Sir John Bedell, now of Henry Bedell. Except that lands in Steeple Gidding and Hamerton, mentioned in indenture of 18 January, 1598. 1. to levy fine in favour of 2., to use of 2.
