William Brierly, Greyes Inne, Middx., esq. Agreed that 1. shall levy fine in favour of 2. of Manor of Gidding Abbott, with apps. and land in Gidding Abbott and Advowson of Gidding Abbotts Church. To the following uses: 6 farms with apps. (490as) ground called Muchhills, Advowson to use of Sir Thomas Cotton, Sir Capell Bedell and Robt. Bernard for life of Thomas Cotton, esq., after his death to John Cotton for life and to his heirs in tail male; failing such, to right heirs of Thomas Cotton. Hanghill, Hangill Meadow, Brooke Close (64as); Ley Close, Rounde Meadow and Berry Ponds Leas (30as); Cowe Close with apps. (20as); to use of Sir Thomas Cotton, Sir Capell Bedell and Robt. Bernard, during the life of Thomas C., Esq., and Mary, his wife, and the survivor of them. After their deaths to right heirs of Thos. C. Esq. Messuage in occupation of Thomas C. Esq., with apps. and Dovecote Close, Burntyard, Grants Close, Little Hills Close and 6 acres arable land in every field of Gidding A., to use of Sir Thos. Cotton, Sir Capell Bedell and Robt. Bernard, during the life of Thomas C. Esq. After his death to his right heirs. Thuolo pasture, Alpit pasture and meadow (180as); to John Cotton for life. After his death to use of Sir Robt. Wolseley, Sir Robt. Poyntz, and William Byerley during the life of Frances, wife of John Cotton. After her death to Thomas Cotton, the father for life. After his death to heirs male of John Cotton.
