Description1. John Leete and Richard Pigot, Commissioners for sequestrations in Hunts. 2. William Freeman, Luddington, Northants, yeoman. Recites 1., according to instructions given to them by the Commissioners for compounding with papists and delinquents, apptd. by several Acts of this present Parliament, having surveyed the lands hereafter mentioned, and after due posting thereof, have contracted for the same and have certified this to the Comms. for Compounding in their returns of 22 Mar. 1651, who in their letter of 19 Apr. 1652, do confirm the said contract. Now 1. upon the aforesaid grounds, to 2. The Great Walke Pasture, with meadows belonging (133as) in Steeple Gidding (2/3 thereof being sequestrated from Mrs. Frances Cotton, widdow, for her recusancy). For 7 years. Paying £50.13.4d. to the Treasurer for the use of the Commonwealth, £25.6.8d. to Mrs. F. Cotton for her 1/3rd. And also £5 p.a. extra for every acre ploughed by 2. which has not been ploughed for 20 years.
