Description1. Basil, Earl of Hapsburg, Denbigh and Desmond, and Mary, his wife. 2. Sir Robert Burdett, Foremark, Derbys., Bart. and Charles Jennens, Gopshall, Leics., Esq. Recites: 1) L/R of 1/2 Apr. 1757 reciting that Mary Countess of Denbigh, was seized of ¼ of the Manor,,Advowson, and lands hereinafter mentioned and also of the reversion and inheritance expectant upon the decease of Dame Jane Cotton, her mother, of ¼ of various other lands hereinafter mentioned. The said Mary did release to Sir Cordell Firebrace, Sir Robert Burdett, Charles Jennens her ¼ in the Manor of Gidding Abbotts/Steeple Gidding with apps., and Advowson of Gidding Abbotts Church and lands there (field-names and acreages given), with reversion from decease of Jane Cotton of ¼ of Manor House and apps in Gidding Abbotts with messuage and lands there (named) on trust, to the use of Mary Cotton, until her marriage, then to Basil, Earl of Denbigh, for life, with the proviso that Firebrace, Burdett, and Jennens may, by direction of the Earl and Countess or the survivor of them, B. and s. and convey to any purchaser any of these lands and premises. 2) Death of Firebrace 3) Agreement of Earl and Countess to sell their ¼ to John Heathcote, Nth. Luffenham, Rutland, Esq. Now to carry such agreement and sale into execution, the Earl and Countess, by the power given to them in the said release, appoint Burdett and Jennens to b.& s. and convey to John Heathcote, Esq., their ¼ in the aforesaid Manor, Advowson and lands.
